Preventing and ending, violence empowering survivors and building equality

Gender-based violence remains one of the most serious challenges affecting women and girls in Dzaleka Refugee Camp. The GBV Prevention and Response Program aims to prevent, address, and respond to all forms of gender-based violence affecting women and girls in refugee communities. The program provides survivor-centered support services, promotes community awareness and a culture of respect, and strengthens protection systems.

Key Activities:

  • Offering psychosocial support and counseling to survivors of GBV.
  • Conducting awareness sessions on GBV prevention and women’s rights.
  • Training community protection champions and peer educators.
  • Strengthening referral pathways for legal, medical, and social services.
  • Engaging men and boys as allies in promoting gender equality and non-violence.

Through this service, Women Power stands as a voice for safety, dignity, and justice, empowering women and girls to live free from violence and to shape a community built on respect and equality.

Women Power is a women-led organization equipping refugee women and girls in Dzaleka Refugee Camp with the skills, capital, and confidence they need to become entrepreneurs and leaders.
