Girls’ Rights and Education

“Empowering every girl to live with dignity, access education, and lead with confidence.”

The Girls’ Rights and Education Program promotes the protection, participation, and empowerment of refugee young women and girls by ensuring equal access to education, leadership opportunities, and decision-making spaces. It advocates for girls’ and women’s rights to live free from discrimination and supports their holistic development.
Key Activities:

Conducting awareness campaigns on girls’ rights and education.
Providing mentorship and leadership workshops for adolescent girls.
Supporting girls’ access to education and learning materials.
Engaging parents and community leaders in promoting gender equality.
Establishing girls’ clubs and safe spaces for peer learning and advocacy.

Through these interventions, Women Power strengthens the protection and empowerment of girls, ensuring they grow up in an environment that upholds their dignity, equality, and rights. The program envisions a future where every girl and young woman in Dzaleka Refugee Camp can live free from violence, pursue education, and lead with confidence.

Women Power is a women-led organization equipping refugee women and girls in Dzaleka Refugee Camp with the skills, capital, and confidence they need to become entrepreneurs and leaders.
